ProMosaic™ II - Purpose

ProMosaic™ II provides an assessment tool that creates a roadmap for building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive organization. It also gives an organization the opportunity to examine its progress and status regarding diversity and inclusion initiatives by focusing on key organizational factors and processes critical for success in internalizing diversity and inclusion throughout the organization.

The instrument is designed as a self-assessment tool whereby organizations gather information and score themselves without outside observation or intervention. You are the only one who sees your results.

The ProMosaic™ II Diversity/Inclusion Assessment Tool is comprehensive, and focuses on four components critical for success in diversity and inclusion efforts: (1) Leadership and Business Rationale, (2) Strategic Planning, (3) Execution, and (4) Results and Measurements. Each critical success factor is defined, and specific activities are addressed as part of the assessment. Each linked component plays a critical role in your organization's overall diversity and inclusion initiative.

The model here illustrates that senior leadership creates an environment supportive of diversity and inclusion and drives Strategic Planning and Execution where goals and plans are developed for diversity and inclusion initiatives. Strategic planning and execution processes directly influence the perceptions and experiences of the organization's
key stakeholders. In order to achieve their desired results, organizations need to monitor all of these diversity and inclusion components to determine what works and what does not. The initial results will help the organization create strategies for continuous improvement, which will in turn ensure continued success.

The ProMosaic™ II Diversity/Inclusion Assessment Tool is not a survey; rather one should approach it as an intervention. It will take some time and effort to gather the information to conduct a complete, thorough, valid and reliable assessment of your organization's progress towards making diversity and inclusion a part of your organization's culture.
